He's telling them how to worship him when he returns as the Almighty Dis-integrator and how to do the selfish "good work" of their god, hypocritically give them an excuse for doing the wrong things, and then allowing them to be easily forgiven in his books while kindly ignoring the regards of others. But before he returns even more powerful than before, he needs to have his body given up to his people as a symbolization of the sacrifice that he made of himself. He needs to be "All dried up, and tied up forever, all fucked up and dead to the world."
I've heard different people compare this song to other things like love, sex, and drugs as well, but I think that those themes may also be valid.
"You cut off all of your fingers/Trade them in for dollar bills"; (Throw away the tools that you have for learning, and giving and blindly take in all of my "dogma" that makes you feel better about the wrong that you do).
