If you dance, I’ll dance
- Alliance/ Support in action

And if you don’t, I’ll dance anyways
- Rejection won’t impact my action

Give peace a chance
- The idea of a Treaty to end a war

Let the Fear you have fall away
- The other person has made a decision based on weak/inferior emotional understanding

I’ve got my eye on you
- Objectively seeing the situation - Detached emotionally
- Lots of patience, humbleness, humility towards the other person.

In the Storm I stay clear
- The Supporter stays away from their storm, suggesting again “to come to me” on your own terms, and not because I saved you.
- The supporter does not get involved in the political play of the other person’s situation.

Like a Barge at sea
- The supporter is a small ship compared to the other person’s big ship. A barge is a small ship that can be supported by a big ship in travelling across the sea. The supporter wants a life with them, a heavenly one, a divine one.
- The supporter is almost stranded without the other person

I’ll put my red dress on, get it on
-red dress was reference to summer in summertime sadness. Looking the part, acting the part, pretending of the part. Supporting the other person's cause of summer.
-Get it on, further emphasis suggests it’s not something she enjoys putting on, only because she has to.

And if you fight, I’ll fight. It doesn’t matter, it’s all gone.
- If you fight with me, I’ll fight too. Essentially, not fighting back. Fighting since the other person has chosen to fight. And it doesn’t matter, the relationship had stopped a long time ago. Nevertheless, they’ve got their mind on them.

Say yes to heaven, say yes to me
I’ve got my eye on you
- A life like paradise they promise to the other, with them
- If the other person was a barge (small boat) They’re watching them. Does the ship sink ? Does the ship completely abandon ? Do they set up life in another heaven ?
