How the song lyrics hits us hard. It hurts knowing that there are a lot of cases of that kind of love story. It was tragic. Though, it was meant to happen and all we need is to accept it.
'happier' is about a guy/girl who loved THAT someone so much that as he/she breaks, he/she watched how her/his love one be happy WITH SOMEONE ELSE. There's nothing painful more than that. But all that you can do is to accept it and just be happy for it. Because one day you'll move on and you'd be happy just the way she/he is now.
