May 4th 2012!⃝This song is about Carrie trying to advise a "good girl" against dating her ex. She actually sounds quite bitter and harsh; she's not exactly breaking it to the other girl gently. Lines such as "His lips are dripping honey but he'll sting you like a bee. So lock up all your lovin' oh and throw away the key" and "It's just a matter of time. 'till you find, He's no good, girl, no good for you, you better get to getting on you''re goodbye shoes and go, go, go, baby listen to me he's low, low, low." Prove how brutal she's being.
The first few times I heard this I thought that this was all to this song... However, after seeing the video I got another idea.
Maybe Carrie is actually the "good girl" and a part of her is telling herself what Carrie doesn't really want to acknowledge and is ignoring. That he's no good.
The lines "Why? Why you gotta be so blind? Won't you open up your eyes" convinces me of it. (:
