It’s about love & not being able to let go or completely move on.
“You were stuck inside & I couldn’t get you out”
He is a constant thought & burning memory in her brain, unable to forget him.
“I laid beside you & pulled you close
And the two of us went up in smoke”
In her dreams she lives out a fantasy of their love & what could have been. The up in smoke can refer to the mystery of what she fantasizes it to be & lost. The burning house is her burning thoughts of the unknown & her memories
“Love isn’t all that it seem”
Sometimes we are unable to see things from inside or within clearly. Reflecting back from outside can bring clarity.
Maybe she realizes her faults & is better able to see them now. So she keeps the good burning memories alive in her dream.
Her sleepwalking is her thinking what she could have done or changed to fix it. Struggling with her past & her part in what happened. What could she have done to prevent it ending. So she keeps the burning heartache close. All she can do now is dream how good it was or seemed.
Seeing him @ a party could mean how easy It still feels right, the connection is still the same but what can the future hold. Could they get past what tore them apart. So she tells herself people don’t change, but is that really true or maybe time changes people. So wishing to go back in time seems her only option. Maybe she/he or they could rewrite it... for she still believes she is the one for him.

So she continues on in this burning house of thoughts & memories of what could have been until her dreams of him are gone...wondering.
