He thought that 'Back in the Saddle' meant have sex more than once with your girl. So he wrote a song about a cowboy riding into town to get a prostitute (Sukie Jones, mentioned in the song), and getting laid. His 'pistol' is his penis, not a syringe. Sorry to burst your bubble.
