Alice Cooper's song about a once being a nice sweet kid who went to church regularly and opened doors for old ladies and probably gave them his seat during rush hours on buses and trains. He became an outsider when they got a hold of him with the school teaching in the public educational system that was in conflict with his beliefs and thoughts. That eventually crossed over with the reserved in the church and the people that knew him along with his parents who were also ashamed of him when he started to rebel and express himself as a rock and roller, dressed in gothic clothes with love for snakes and all that.

This put fear in the people that did not understand him or his music in a similar way in what he learned by the Reserved who put fear of god in people that did not understand god, so in this song both sides said to each other ''no more Mr. Nice guy'', where both want respect to be earned, but don't ask him to change for them because like them he lost his friends cause they read all the bullshit lies in the papers that is all propaganda he cannot buy.
