Aug 17th 2016!⃝When artists write songs, they do have a meaning behind it. But it's for the listener to interpret it as how they hear it. Some are saying he wrote the song for his son. He very may well have. but the beauty of music is we can all hear the same sounds and it can mean so many different things to everyone listening. When an artist such as Mike Ness can write something and make us feel what we need to feel about it, they have succeeded as poet. When I heard this song, not only did it hit home for me, but made me feel not so alone. when he says " they say if you love someone you gotta let them go, if they come back that's surly how you know" why would he say that about his son? Idk just saying, everyone interprets songs differently either way it's an amazing song
