Feb 16th 2019!⃝I'm not assuming how the writer felt when he wrote this song, that is obviously ridiculous. However, mabye the song is about the writer thinking "giving up" but then he remembers the struggles his ancestors went through. So, he continues to fight his mental health problems for if they could go through times where life was much harder, he can go through his problems too. After all, the song's title and chorus read, "In my blood," not "In My Mind," "In My Soul," nor "In My Heart," it says, "In My Blood," and blood often represents your heritage, such as in words like "bloodline."
