Nov 5th 2021!⃝When I hear this song, I suppose I’m sort of literal on this, but I think about climate change, that we’ve come a long way but there is still a long way to go if we want to save our planet. And of course “the world is burning to the ground” is pretty spot on. I don’t know how this was originally written but that has been my interpretation.
It resonates with me also that I feel pretty powerless, that my life is meaningless and I get hopeless. I suppose this song could be about any advancement we have made, like gender equality and LGBTQAP+ right. Or even technological advancements. I don’t know, ah well.
