Lily of the Valley Lyrics Meaning

This song is coupled with Flick Of The Wrist (The final baby you've been had is perfectly placed between the two songs). This is something that happened frequently on Queen II and I've always considered these two tracks to be an important development on Sheer Heart Attack.
Lily of the Valley takes place in the same fantasy world that much of Queen's first two albums take you through. Sheer Heart Attack was much more of a regular classic rock album (while still a perfect Queen album) than Queen II was.
Flick Of The Wrist is like the predecessor to Death On Two Legs- with evenly matched passion (if not even more!), and when the songs are coupled together it's almost like the first song becomes a warning about reality (rather than Rhye) and the music industry and life's hardness, and Lily of the Valley would be the last song from Queen's fantasy land, in which the subject is lost, searching for an answer they never find.
So in a sense, Flick of the Wrist and Lily of the Valley together take you from the fantastical and complex works from Queen II into the songs like Killer Queen and Stone Cold Crazy that make Sheer Heart Attack the perfect album that it is.
Queen wasn't done being Queen, they were simply evolving their style (which they went on to do many times).
